About Me
Let me introduce myself as a proactive soul who lives each day with the aim of instilling an impact in the lives of the people around me through my words and deeds.
By profession, I am a Senior Engineer in Product Development at Envestnet Inc, which is a financial services company based out of the US.
I completed my graduate studes in Software Systems (M.Tech) from BITS Pilani, Rajasthan as a Work Integrated Learning Program (WILP).
I am comfortable in working with the following languages: JavaScript, AngularJS, React, Redux, Python, Java. I take each challenge as an opportunity to learn and grow and I am an avid self-learner.Thus I have been exploring the field of Data Science lately. I am a strong advocate for cause women in technology and have been involved in many such activities in the past.

- Primary responsibilities include design, analysis and development of the product ‘Practice Advantage’ which is an integrated solution for retirement financial advisors in the US to manage their retirement plans. Working on technologies AngularJS, Java and MySQL.
- Delivering talks on Data Science, Software Quality Processes etc thereby imparting the knowledge gained from my masters’ course to the team.
- Built a prediction system using time series analysis to determine who is next likely to login to the platform. (Implemented in Python).
- Mentoring newly joined college graduates to hone their interpersonal skills, presentation skills and provide the necessary guidance and support for their induction projects.
- Represented the Virtual Reality team in the internal event Garage Fest conducted by Envestnet Yodlee where we developed a VR application which helps people plan their retirement better and pitched the idea to a group.(Used Amazon Sumerian)
- Participated in Envathon 2019, which was an internal Global Hackathon at Envestnet and proposed to build an AI assisted automated workflow which could reduce the currently tedious manual processes.
- Certified as Oracle Certified Associate, Java SE 8 Programmer.
- Participated in the Intuit Women’s Code War conducted by Hackerrank and developed a prototype applying Machine Learning Concepts. The idea was shortlisted.
- Invited to attend the ‘Tensorflow Roadshow 2019’ held at Hotel Conrad, Bangalore.
- Prediction of the users likely to login to our application by analysing the login history and building a model based on time series analysis.
- ML Application using react and python which predicts the state in the US where a restaurant owner can gain better profits.
- Remote Procedure Call implementation on a Linux VM.
- Developed an android application in Java called ‘Scrap Book’ as part of the android programming course.
- Selenium Automation in Java as part of Software Testing Methodologies course.
- In my masters' course I took courses in Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence,Cloud Computing and Distributed Computing.
- I specifically like the idea of how Data Science is an amalgamation of various subjects like Mathematics, Statistics, Biology(rather neural networks) and the various technological aspects like Big Data,Cloud etc.
- Wanting to delve a bit deeper beyond the course material and text book knowledge, I started doing The Machine Learning Course by Andrew Ng on Coursera.
- The first opportunity to try something hands-on came with the Intuit Women’s Code War conducted by Hackerrank where a friend of mine and I started learning Python on the go,(deployed APIs in Flask and built the UI in React) and created an intelligent tax management platform using Machine Learning Concepts. The idea was shortlisted.
- Having seen my interest in this field, I was given the next assignment from work which is to "Predict who is next likely to login to our system?".I created a preliminary prototype by analysing the data we have in our system using time series analysis methodologies and the refinements of the model is still in progress.
- I was also invited to attend the ‘Tensorflow Roadshow 2019’ held at Hotel Conrad, Bangalore which was a great networking opportunity to meet experts in the field.
- My final dissertation for the Masters Course also revloves around Customer churn analysis using machine learning where the objective is to build a Customer Engagement Score and pree how it fares for each of our customers in the future.
- For this, I have been trying to grasp the concepts of Time Series Analysis lately.
- Finally the fact that entices me to pursue data science as a career is that more than the technology or the methodology we use, the gist lies in the Art of story-telling or how effectively we can convey the message to the end user.
- And I intend to more projects in this field and as and when doors open to move into cutting edge research.
